At approximately 6:45 p.m. Sunday Officer Brandon Bertram responded to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart.
On scene, Officer Bertram was informed by two employees they observed a male individual “loading up a cart with merchandise” and not attempt to pay for the items. Total amount of merchandise was $137.29.
James B. Bell was taken into custody and charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (shoplifting). Bell was processed and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Emily Renee Edwards, 28, was arrested at 2:25 p.m. Saturday for Operating on a Suspended License. The arrest was made by Officer Josh Smith.
Tim Atkinson, 55, was arrested at 7:42 p.m. on a warrant for failing to appear/show cause in Wayne District Court on the underlying charges of Disorderly Conduct and Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug. The arrest was made by Lt. Josh Asberry.
Edwards and Atkinson were processed and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
