Marjorie Kaye Garth was born July 15, 1942, and departed this life Monday, May 22, 2023, reaching the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of the late James Hunter and Mattie Garth. 
She is survived by: one son, Lamont Garth; two brothers, Cecil Garth (Shirley) and Richard Garth (Cindy); five sisters, Mary (Willie) Garrett, Dorothy Garth, Martha (Bishop Greg) Chaney, Lena (Alonzo) Allen and Vida Hunter; four grandchildren, JaKaye Martin (Lonnie), Olivia Garth, Isaiah Garth, and Ladarius Garth; and one great-grandchild, Xavion Roland; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, James Garth, Wilburn Hunter, Billy Joe Hunter, Sterling Hunter, and James Hardin; and one sister, Mary Garth.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 5:30 pm at the Monticello Cemetery. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 6 pm at the Monticello Cemetery, with burial to follow.
