#1 – Monticello Fire Department responded to a dispatch from Monticello Wayne County 911 of a log trailer on fire on Hwy 167 South at Bertram Hollow Road. On scene, a trailer with logs was found to have a fire in the running gear with fire extending to the logs. Firefighters extinguished the fire and returned to service. Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assisted on the scene with traffic safety.
#2 – While on scene at the first call, a passerby alerted fire personnel of a fire on the side of the road a couple of miles south of the original incident. Firefighters controlled the fire on the first scene and then went to the second call for service. A brush unit was dispatched to the second incident due to the nature of the call.
