The latest unemployment statistics released this week show a jump in unemployment claims across the district.
Wayne County’s unemployment rate increased from 4.5% in December to 5.4% in January. Rates were also up in each of our adjoining counties.
Pulsaki 4.9% up from 4.5
Russell County 5.3% up from 5.0
Clinton County at 5.4% up from 4.1
& McCreary County at 5.9% which was up from 4.5% in December.
