Monticello Fire Department responded to two requests for service Wednesday.
Personnel responded to an open burn investigation about midday and then to a 2 vehicle collision with an injury. Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Wayne County EMS, and the fire department were dispatched by Monticello Wayne County 911 to the incident on East Hwy 90. The roadway was closed for a short period to allow for removal of debris and return the road surface to a safe condition.
