WC Sheriffs Deputies, WC EMS, and The Monticello Fire Department were dispatched Tuesday afternoon to a Motor Vehicle Collision at the intersection of E HWY 90 and HWY 1619.
One patient was airlifted from the scene and flown to UK hospital. A couple members of Wayne County Search and Rescue assisted at the scene as well. Traffic was temporarily re-routed onto the new pavement in the area while crews worked on the patient and secured a safe Landing Zone for the aeromedical helicopter.
