GRANDMA’S REFRIGERATOR PICKLES
4 c. white vinegar
4 c. sugar
½ c. salt
1 ½ T. mustard seed
1 ½ T. celery seed
1 ½ T. turmeric
Cucumbers and onions (enough to fill a gallon jar)
Slice cucumbers and onions and layer in a gallon glass jar. Mix ingredients for the brine. Heat until all dissolved. Let cool. Pour over cucumbers and onions. Keep in refrigerator. Ready to eat in 4 days. Will keep up to 1 year.
