Burglary Investigation Yields a Second Arrest

According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron an investigation by Deputy Cody Neal into a burglary of a barn on Lewis Kelly Road has led to a second arrest.
During Deputy Neals investigation he obtained information of the second persons involvement in the burglary which occurred over several days around the end of October. Numerous tools and electrical equipment were taken from the barn. On November 9, 2021, Deputy Neal charged and arrested Raymond Reynolds in this case. On that date Deputy Neal also obtained a Wayne County District Court Complaint Warrant of Arrest for Jeramiah J. Hall of Mount Vernon, Ky. Deputy Neal charged Hall with Burglary-3rd degree and theft by unlawful taking or disposition – all others (more than $1,000.00 but less than $10,000.00).
On December 2, 2021, at 1:46 am Deputy Derek Dennis observed a pickup truck make a traffic violation while traveling on Kentucky Highway 3106. Deputy Dennis conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for the traffic violation and found the driver to be Jeremiah Hall. During the traffic stop Deputy Dennis deployed his K-9 Unit Deputy Dunya for a free air sniff around the truck. Deputy Dunya alerted for narcotics on the vehicle. Deputy Dennis then located a black zip-up case attached by a magnet in the rear wheel well area which contained a narcotic smoking pipe, a syringe and drug paraphernalia. A search of the inside of the vehicle resulted in a set of digital scales and crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Deputy Dennis charged and arrest Jeremiah J. Hall of Mount Vernon, Ky. for possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine) possession of drug paraphernalia and for the traffic violation. Hall was also arrested on the Wayne County District Court Complaint Warrant of Arrest.
Hall was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Deputy Dennis was assisted at the scene by Deputy Brad Tucker.
The Wayne County Sheriff Office also made the following arrests.
Thelma Jennings of Monticello, Ky. was arrested on a Wayne County Circuit Court Commitment Warrant of Arrest for Contempt of Court for failure to comply with Drug Court.
Jonathan M. Brown of Monticello, Ky. was arrested on a Wayne County Circuit Court Warrant of Arrest for failure to appear for a CTP Hearing.
Lyric L. Green of Monticello, Ky. was arrested on a Wayne County District Court Warrant of Arrest for failure to appear for a Pre-Trial Conference on the underlying charge of failure of non-owner to maintain required insurance.
Jennings and Brown were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center. Green was released from custody after posting a Bond.
