Local Firefighters Participate in PPE Training

Monticello Firefighters have to complete 150 hours of training to become certified firefighter. There are over 40 different categories these training hours must be completed. It will normally take over 300 hours of training just to complete the basic firefighter certification. Career certification takes 400 hours in those same categories. A firefighter will have well over 1000 hours when getting career certified. Training is never completed. Firefighters will train every year.
