Wayne County Homemaker Recipe – Sour Cream Coffee Cake by Marilyn Rush


¼ c. brown sugar

2 tsp. cinnamon

1 c. chopped pecans

1 (18 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix

¾ c. oil

½ c. sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

4 eggs

1 c. sour cream

Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and only ½ cup pecans.  Set aside.  Mix cake mix, oil, sugar, vanilla, eggs, sour cream, and remaining pecans.  Grease Bundt pan.  Pour in ½ of cake mixture; sprinkle brown sugar mixture in, then rest of cake mixture.  Bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.  Let cool 30 minutes before turning cake out.
