Lloyd Earl. “Hack” Smith

of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky, having attained the age of 70 years, 4 months, and 23 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Thursday, May 10, 1951 the son of Ruben and Ostie (Kennedy) Smith. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and a sawmill hand for Static Lumber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Earl Smith, siblings, Dee Smith, Lonzo Smith, Elgie Barnes, Ricky Smith, and a granddaughter, Chelsea Barnes.

He is survived by his children, Sherry (& Jeff) Cooper, Miranda Angel all of Albany, Kentucky, siblings, Ora Lee Stearns of Albany, Kentucky, Georgia Reynolds of Byrdstown, Tennessee, Connie Duvall, Teresa Scroggins, Tony Smith, all of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, James (& Tisha) Barnes, Johnny (& Kyra) Barnes, Grayson Angel, Marley Angel, Rumor Myers, Willa Jackson, Destin Myers, great-grandchildren, Blakelynn, Miley, Addy, Raylen, special friends, Linda Smith, Tammy Angel, along with a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany with Bro. Jack Duvall officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help pay final expenses. Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany is honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
