Work inside continues at the future home of the Monticello 911 center. The property next door to the Police department, just off Main Street will house the 911 center in the coming months.
Local governments in February approved documents for the 911 center to remain in its current location for an additional eight months. The house next to the police station, which is owned by the city, was to be deeded to the county as a new home for the 911 center.
The parking area was graveled in April, crews have worked over the past few weeks beginning the inside renovation to house equipment and electronics.
