Wayne County Ranks 27th for Median Household Income in Kentucky

New rankings from the website Stacker lists Wayne County as the 27th-lowest earning county in Kentucky.

Stacker uses data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Counties are ranked by the Census’s 2019 5-year estimate median household income.

The median household income in Wayne County was listed as $34,914.

Other adjoining counties didn’t fare so well either.  Pulaski had the best ranking at 43rd with a median household income at $39,998, Russell County was 38th at $38,390, Clinton County was 18th with an average of $32,184, and McCreary County had one of the worst rankings as they were listed 7th with an average median household income of $28,105.
