Man Arrested in Pulaski County After Highway 80 Shooting

(LEX 18) — Laurel County deputies charged 46-year-old Brian Eldridge with murder after a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds along Hal Rogers Parkway Wednesday afternoon.

Public information officer Gilbert Acciardo said witnesses reported seeing Eldridge headed towards London in a black ford fusion and fired multiple rounds at a pickup truck. Acciardo says the victim pulled over.

Then witnesses report seeing the ford fusion make a u-turn and return to fire more shots at the victim’s driver side.

The victim has been identified as 59-year-old Timothy Preston Miller of London, Ky. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner’s office. Investigators say he and Eldridge were acquaintances.

According to Acciardo, Eldridge said he did fire the shots but didn’t know why.

“For vehicles to be involved in a shooting along the roadway like that is very dangerous, very deadly. Bystanders could have been hit,” Acciardo said. “Anybody passing through the area at the time that multiple shots were being fired could have been involved as well.”

Investigators are still looking into what lead up to the shooting.
