During the week of February 14-20, 2021, your Monticello Police Department responded to a total of 130 calls for service including: Residential/Commercial Alarms-12, Domestic & other Disputes-9, Foot Pursuit-1, Intoxicated Person Complaint-1, Juvenile Complaint-2, Motor Vehicle Accidents-4, Overdose-1, Reckless Driving complaints-5, Request to Talk With Officer-16, Request Individual Removed from Premises-2, Suspicious Persons/Activity-5, Well-Being Checks-5 and Thefts-3.
Also this past week, six persons were arrested for various offenses including: Criminal Mischief-1, Possession of Controlled Substance-1, Disorderly Conduct-1 and 3 warrants were served for Failure to Appear in Court. Citations issued for traffic offenses included: Disregarding Traffic Control Device-1, No Seat Belts-1, No Child Restraint-1, Operating on Suspended License-1 and Improper Registration-2.
The Monticello Police Department is comprised of nine full-time sworn personnel and two part-time civilian office personnel, providing 24 hour community policing and law enforcement services.
