Drug Related Arrests Over the Weekend

On Saturday, August 10 (2019) at approximately 4:40 p.m. a 2006 Nissan car operated by Dustin Samuel Dodd, 25, of Monticello was stopped after being observed disregarding the stop sign at the intersection of Bertram & Fair streets.

Subsequently, the roadside investigation resulted in Dodd being arrested for No/Expired Operators License, Disregarding Stop Sign, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The arrest was made by MPD Officer Joey Hoover with assistance from MPD Officer Mike Neal and Deputies Brent Rose, Tommy Spencer and Derek Dennis of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.

Dodd was processed and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.

Sheriff Tim Catron reported the arrest of Jimmy A. Hurt for possession of a controlled substance -1st degree (meth) and for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shawn Boston of Monticello, Ky. was arrested on a Wayne County District Court Bond Release Order of Arrest on the underlying charges of trafficking in a controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and a traffic violation.

Boston was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
